I went back to my first Weight Watchers meeting this morning since May and I loved being back. It was kind of funny when I walked out of the meeting the first thing I smelled was about 10 different fast food restaurants. It was sort of strange, I was leaving this safe harbor (ww meeting) and walking smack into most every food temptation known to mankind :-)
The meeting itself was good, the focus today was metabolism. Not a lot of new info but the leader was energetic and a positive force.
I was one of 30 people attending and I was the only guy in the room. I had a a WW leader tell me one time that it must be hard being the only guy in the room? Lol I couldn't disagree more, I LOVE being the only guy in the room.
The leader also pointed out that there is a new Weight Watchers plan that will be rolled out the first week of December.
Its really funny to me that we spend billions of dollars annually on the new diet fads or latest weight loss craze BUT it all comes down to simple math: burn more calories than we take in = weight loss. Is it easy? NO!! But I believe thats why WW works so well for most who try it including me.
The support and information you receive in the weekly meetings is critical to my success. I feed off of others success and I am genuinely happy when others lose weight or share their success stories.
I started my modifications immediately upon leaving the ww meeting. I welcomed back some foods that have been missing or reduced in my daily diet: more fresh vegetables and fresh fruits, Aunt Millies 5 grain lite bread, flat out wraps and more. I am very excited about counting points and stepping back on the scale next Saturday morning and celebrating a loss!
