A couple of years ago before I started Weight Watchers, I used to get into some vicious cycles, maybe you have done the same thing or followed this pattern. You are ready (you think) to doing something about your weight and then you realize it is Friday or Saturday and you say "I'll just start on Monday." Well...Monday never comes. Thanks to Weight Watchers and the things I have learned over the past couple of years I now catch the pattern before its too late.
I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago to my new favorite vacation spot in Florida. It is a small but an amazing place called Seaside Florida. It is in the panhandle, there are no chain restaurants, the beaches are breath taking and I love the feel of Seaside. Well (as usual) I told myself I would eat some extra things off my WW plan and not stress while on vacation. I did enjoy some very tasty things and did exercise some while on vacation. Over the past two years I have allowed myself to enjoy treats or cheat meals and I really believe it has kept me from losing my mind and helped me stay on plan with WW
Well I have been back for a week and I caught myself slipping into the old habits of eating a little extra at every meal. With me I have to watch EVERYTHING I put in my mouth, I can add weight really quick. So I recognized what I was doing and started back on plan. In the past, Monday would have never come and before I knew it I would have gained 5 or 10 pounds at least.
I was at the rec center where I do cardio this morning and got really excited about focusing and re-dedicating myself to the plan. I get some kind of twisted joy out of journaling my food, getting that great workout in and eating really clean for a 24 hour period. Sick huh? It almost becomes a challenge or a game for me tracking my points and coming up with new low point foods to enjoy.
All this to say...if you are struggling with motivation or focus make today the day you start and refocus. I know at least on the east coast it so much easier to stray a little from the plan right now because we can hide under winter clothing but springtime is not that far off :-)

Brian, you're still here! I wondered what happened to you. Glad to see you're still going strong.
I forgot I use to always do that Monday thing too. I'd start Monday, after eating all weekend and gaining even more weight. Then Monday would come, and I'd blow it again then wait until the NEXT Monday to start again.
Now I just start the next morning since I usually blow it at night. Doesn't matter what day of the week.
Glad you've rededicated and are excited. Sounds like you're doing great.
I listened to your interview with James. Wow! Great inverview. I listened to the whole thing. You have a very nice voice. No wonder you're in radio. Plus you come across as very sincere, kind, and really interested in the person you're talking to. I liked it.
